"I just try sizing de fuel band and what happened is that i doesn't work any more, the quality of material are very low and the mechanism for lock is so weak

"This is an overpriced pedometer & not very accurate at all. If I do 30 jumping Jacks, it will start counting on number 8 or 10 (1 calorie clicks or Fuel points whatever those are) then slowly follow along. If I switch to a different exercise the same things happens & it doesn't follow along. It is incredibly inaccurate if you are cycling too. It doesn't care if you are on a flat surface or a steep hill. It only records distance. It should be way cheaper or do way more. Honestly, I'm sorry I bought this. $165 (price + tax) is absurd for an inaccurate, barely encouraging pedometer."

"My fiance ordered me the fuel band as a christmas gift and it was disappointing! It only keeps track of your arm movements. If you are working out on a bike or elliptical it does not keep an accurate log of calories burned."

"I bought my fuel band 2 weeks ago and had to repair him twice! I wear the fuelband daily and every week the screws loose so the band is quit apart."

"So after collecting 900000+ NikeFuel points with my FuelBand it suddenly broke… The button seems to have sunk in, there is no tactile response. I have the latest firmware, etc, etc – the button is simply physically broken. Less than a year old, button pushed a few times a day. Nike quality?"

"Don't waste your money. I have bought 6 of these things for my sons and they are just so poorly built. I've had to send 3 of them back to Nike for replacements now and its not from abuse. They quit syncing, the links go together poorly, one just stopped turning on. Being the guy my 3 boys bring them to when they have problems with them.... I HATE THESE THINGS! My boys only wear them cuz they look and light up cool..."

"Stopped working less than two months after I used it. Hopefully can get it replaced, but given it only tracks running it may not be that useful for me anyway. Doesn't track my weightlifting or cycling."

"I finally got around to downloading and trying it out yesterday -- disappointed. I first got on my treadmill and did a fast walk at 3.5mph for 60 minutes - my treadmill showed I had burned 500 calories - my fuel band showed 189 calories. So what is up with that?? I then kept it on for 2 hours while I was cooking and then found out the problem - it only measures your arm movement- while on the treadmill I had my arms stationary most of the time. I can just move my arm a lot and the calorie count goes up. By the end of the 2 hours I had met my goal just because I was using my hands and arms alot. Not what I had expected- pretty much a wast of my money."

The problem with non Active people is that the don't understand the concept of Nike fuel; apart from been Nike's proprietary, it is a game changer on how you track your active life! In fact, other developers have now been given access to this technology, so expect more products to support +Fuel soon.
Now, you can choose to be active like the rest of us by aiming for a full body work out & moving your WHOLE BODY! Or, waste your money by trying to cheat the device by just wiggling your arm around to meet your goal!

You burn more calories with more movement. Move your arms when you are on the treadmill!!! If you have to hold on, you are doing it WRONG!

"While this product has quite a bit of potential, Nike's lack of support for the greater mobile/smartphone app market is disappointing. As Nike has produced apps for other operating systems (e.g., NTC for Android), this can't be a technical limitation. I expect better support from the Nike brand, and this has caused me to reconsider my impression of their customer service.
Without the mobile app, the effectiveness of the dashboard is greatly diminished. Save your money; there are cheaper, more feature-rich alternatives that also accommodate the broader app market."

I think the nike fuelband is great I love it it displays your calorie burn throughtout the day and my freinds are jealous so yea but I live it the data is soo accurate then I counted my steps on my on and the steps went up the same so

"The fuel band's charge life is very short. Many times during the week I was unable to use it after fully charging it within a day or two. It doesn't measure distance accurately if you are running or jogging."

"I wish I could return this. I have days where I walk a recorded 3000 steps and burn 2000 fuel then days where I walk a recorded 14,ooo steps and only burn 4200 fuel ... Days that I sit at a desk I somehow burn 3000 fuel ... it really is inconsistent. The only plus that I have is that the fuelband will motivate you to hit your goal when it seems to work properly"

"This piece of juck simply does not work. It is just based on wrist motions (because you wear it on your wrist), so if I am riding my bike, I'm not burning any calories. If I'm walking and my hands are in my pockets, I'm not burning any calories. It is a good concept, and I love the design but it does not work."

"When I heard about this product, I was very excited to try one out. Even after reading some consumer reports that criticized the longevity of the fuel band, I decided to try my luck. At first, it's fun to sync your activity and it really does motivate you to meet daily goals. But as I had been warned, the device stopped syncing with my phone and shortly thereafter could not even keep a charge. It only took two months to go from fun to done. The idea and future applications of this technology is exciting, but the current capabilities to sustainably meet it's practical purposes is not yet a reality."

"i used the fuelband for 1 day, then it broke and i tried fixing it a few times until i gave up. it was not worth the $150 i saved over 4 months"

Things don't just "break." Be careful son! If it just broke and you didn't break it, look into Nike's warranty, the manufacturer will cover it if the product was defective: "Your product is warranted by Nike* to be free of defects in materials of workmanship, under normal use, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This limited warranty excludes damage resulting from improper care of handling, accidents, modifications, unauthorized repairs, normal wear or other causes which are not defects in materials and workmanship." Trying to help you out! Get a new one FO FREE!

"Am having trouble keeping charged. Will only stay charged for a day and last time I charged, it died immediately. What am I doing wrong? I plug it in until the entil battery is filled with dots (charged), but does not stay that way."

your charging station plugs directly into your computer like a memory card. Then you open your band and plug it into station and it stands up like a wheel.
I've worn mine for up to 13 hours and it's never ran out of life.
It's probably something simple. Make sure your computer is turned on while charging.

"I had a "Body Bugg" for years and it was much better in providing meaningful training info. Not knowing what my true cal burn is for an entire day (to include sleeping and periods of inactivity) is not helpful. For it's cost, the info it does provided does not seem very accurate. For example, how do I get steps when I am sleeping? And, I still don't understand what a "fuel" point is. I would not recommend this product."
