NikePlus sportsband
, August 8, 2008
By k8tie
from Virginia Beach, VA
"Really looked forward to using my sportsband, but opened it up and it took FOREVER to load program onto my computer. It also does not count calories for some reason...it is completely blank and the display on it is fussy. I also run at night and I can't see what it the band is displaying because there isn't a backlight to it! I think they could just make some small changes to it and it would be a much better product. It has a lot of potential."

"I really like the Nike+ Sports Band. I wanted it to help me keep track of my runs/ walks and it does that and more. It allows you to set goals for yourself, you can train in a group. This is my personal motivation."

It's not tracking
, August 6, 2008
By 4thePlanet
from Rohnert Park, CA
"I have only used this product twice. My experiences were not positive. The first time I ran 4 miles but it only tracked .13 miles. The second time I ran about 1.5 miles and it only picked up about 94 miles. It's frusturating and I am thinkng of returning it because I'm supposed to be tracking a 7 miles run but if the run is not tracked there is no purpose of using it."

"I like the easy activation. I used it and uploaded my running nfo and it displayed good info. I liked the ease of viewing my stats while running.
After 4 uses however, the sportband would not show display. I had great assistance from customer service. They are going to replace it.
I'm going to get another one in addition to the replacement because I liked all features and ease of use and don't want to be without one.

Great idea - but not so successful
, July 31, 2008
By RunJJRun
from charleston, SC
"I purchased the sports band not too long ago and loved it's light weight and easy use. Then I ran with it.
There seems to be a problem with communiation between the band and the chip. It has never captured distance accurately - and the discrepency between the actual and recorded distance has increased. For my last run i checked at 2 miles (i was on a treadmill) and the band only recorded 1.06. I hear that the nano has better success. I hope so."

"I really like it but I do a lot of night running & it doesn't illuminate. It also seems to lose distance or not track correctly the faster you go. On my faster runs the band doesn't show me to of ran the correct distance"

Fogging
, July 30, 2008
By CrazyOT
from Vallejo, CA
"Somewhat disappointed, screen fogging after only 3 months. The screen is difficult enough to read in the first place and now there is a fog that started at the corner and is proceeding further and further into the screen."

Works well, but not in Rain!!!
, July 30, 2008
By Nikeabc
from millis, MA
"i bought this product at the beginning of the month and i used it every day when i was in New York City for five days. on the third day it did not work cause when i wore it, the screen became blank because it was Pouring Rain an i was wearing it the whole time. so i can back home to Mass. and i got a replacement for it. well uh i used it for after 8 days and it got soaked in rain again and it went completely black. so i just Gave up on using it. To People getting it, Wear long sleeves and Always take it off when your hand washing, cooking, bathing, or even swimming. It will be unrepairable if you let it sit in water for too long. Good Luck and Try Not to Get it WET!!!!"

By running coach
from Litchfield Park, AZ
"I loved my Nike+ Sportsband until it stopped working. The liquid jel looked like it melted and I couldn't see the numbers or letters. I only had it for two months. I will be returning it for a new one. Even though that happened I still want another one; I'm even thinking about getting a second one just incase it happens again. It's just so simple to use I hate to run without it. I won't run without it!"

week old and broke
, July 29, 2008
By j_terry27
from Mililani, HI
"I have had this watch for a little over a week and have taken it on 4 runs, which only 2 of the runs it has worked. On the third run I got it where it blinked walk to link, but it never linked. Then the top of the numbers/letters does not appear. The same thing happened with the forth run. Now the letters/numbers barely show up at all. Even when it is fully charged."

A Great Buy!!!

By KILLIN.IT
from Austell, GA
"I love the Nike+Sport Band!!! It is very easy to operate and lightweight so during my runs it feels like it is not even there. I didn't even have to calibrate it once out of the box. Its pretty accurate regarding distance, calories burned, mile pace and time. An added bonus is the interaction between user and the computer is simplistic and fun to use. A Great Buy!!!!"

DO NOT BUY!
, July 28, 2008
By orangepeel
from Warrenton, MO
"This product is ok at getting an accurate milage if you change the settings BUT if you drop it, the pixels go out and then even if you dont drop it again, more and more pixels go out. I dropped it ONCE and a few pixels went out. Now HALF THE SCREEN is out! i cannot see enough of them to be able to use the product and now it is worthless. I will have to buy another or just throw it away. once again, dont buy this it is just junk cheaply made. Please do not waste your money, it is probably a better idea to buy a nano and use the older style of nike+"

Nike needs to upgrade but still a good product
, July 26, 2008
By RMJordin
from Guyton, GA
"I would wait until the next model comes out! This is a wonderful concept, but in order to make the product consumer-friendly, Nike needs to accomplish the following upgrades:
Add a Backlight for night running (with option to stay lit)
Unit needs to be waterproof/water-resistant
Add the Date to Display so can be worn as a watch also
Need a calibration option, it is off (.25 miles reads as .30)
Improve the directions, too vague and unable to download off of the website.
But the unit works very well for its purpose, especially if you are in the military and cannot wear an Ipod during formation running or PT Tests. The Pace function really helps to ensure that you are keeping a steady run and will make your time. I LOVE the ability to track my runs on the website! If you had to choose between this product or the Ipod Nano, buy the nano. But for the price, this is adequate."

Disappointed
, July 22, 2008
By thirstyp
from Mobile, AL
"I bought this and used it for 2 weeks. I checked the factory calibration on a track twice. It was on. Right on. But I ran two distance runs of 4 and 5 miles with it and it must have lost communication with the sensor. I had to run an extra 1/2 mile or more to complete my goal on each of the runs.
I was wearing it on my left wrist and wasn't doing anything strange like running with my hands over my head. I was very disappointed and sent it back. The concept is great and I guess if I wore it on my ankle it might keep better contact with the sensor. But no thanks!"

Very poor product

By joels42458

"I had numerous problems with this device. The digital readout froze, it failed to track runs, and the device failed to operate. I returned the product three times! Do not buy this product!! The product does not perform well in any situation where it is exposed to moisture, such as sweat, a little rain etc. It is not sealed sufficiently to resist moisture. This is the first version and I wish Nike had tested it prior to launch. How disappointing!!!"
