Good but...
, August 20, 2008
By jbartsch

"I thought I would love the sportband and so far I believe it has some work to fix some issues. I have a difficult time with mine keeping calibrated for running especially since I am a beginning runner. It tends to tell me I am running farther than I am, which makes it not so acurate a lot of the time. It's usually only off by about .2 or .4 miles but it ads up. Even with these issues I am still using mine and just adjust my workouts accordingly."

Not Quite

"Ok, I had mine for a month and loved until the other day when I ran in heat for the first time. After a six mile run, it fogged up and died. I am in the middle of a Challenge and was all set to runthe Human Race. Needless top say, I am not pleased.. It least it sounds like others have had the same experience and Nike sent them a replacement. I would agree with others on this forum that Nike has some definate bugs to work out."

SportBand review
, August 18, 2008
By PrecorDesignGuy
from Mukilteo, WA
"The functionality for recording workouts and tracking history is great. Easy to sync up and understand.
Materials on band don't wear well. The screen lense gets scuffed up easily. The rubber urethane band marks easy when rubbed up against different surfaces. If you only wear it while running, it might hold up OK.
The screen seems to fail in extreme heat. Went running in 104 degree weather and the screen had a crazing effect were the text was difficult to read."

Great, but....
, August 18, 2008
By KellyRogge

"This sportband is amazing and it provides such useful information!! I was a previous user of the Nano version and I like the sportsband much better. It allows you to see everything without having to fuss with the nano on your upper arm. I would recommend this to anyone interested in tracking miles, calories and/or speed. The website is amazing it shows the elevation of your run and lets you keep a log of your workouts! It couldn’t get much better then that!
Ok, so here is the but... I only had this for 2 weeks and 6 uses and the screen became unclear. I was unable to read it. I called Nike and they sent me a return label (they paid for the shipping) and they are sending me a new one.
Overall I thought the product was amazing and was happy with the service that I received after having a problem!"

Works great, but slight display imperfections
, August 18, 2008
By jrey37

"The sportband works just like you need it to in order to track your progress during training. The website is easy to use and very user friendly. Uploading your runs is simple to do. My only complaint is that the sportband I received in the mail has some "cracks" in the display making it difficult to read the numbers at times. Otherwise the product does exactly what it was meant to do. Help you track your training."

"It won't synch to my computer, my computer won't read the drive, makes me log in twice and still won't read the drive; too difficult to use if you don't have the time to figure out something that should be easy"

Love it, minus a few things
, August 18, 2008
By mandyclarke

"I absolutely LOVE this! I'm so glad that Nike came out with a Plus that doesn't need the Nano to work, as I prefer to run with the much smaller iPod shuffle. A few minuses: 1. I wish I could have the powersong. 2. I'm disappointed that this doesn't light up for night running. 3. I find the band hard to put on - it's not convenient at all. Overall, I'm VERY impressed and happy to have this product."

Good Product but could be better
, August 13, 2008
By unioncc81

"I went on a 10 mile run and the sweat got in the watch part and so now it is harder to read it. But besides that this is a really good product just needs better sweat restantice and a back light. I love seeing how far i've gone and my pace during a run and the nikeplus.com program is awesome too. All of my friends and coaches are amazed this product. WAY TO GO NIKE!!!"

"Great way to track a run. I love seeing how well I did when I plug it into my computer. The band is comfortable too, take the place of my watch. It is allowing me and my family to have running competitions from all over the country, and we are loving it."

Returned SportBand
, August 12, 2008
By LibbyMKE
from Milwaukee, WI
"The display on my sportband was defective with broken pixels and very hard to read. I did take it for a run on a treadmill before returning it. I found that it wasn't calibrated right for my stride and that it was hard to work. I returned it right after the workout and bought the ipod nano with the Nike+. So far so good."

I love the sportband!
, August 8, 2008
By Stephen54scc
from Houston, TX
"I wanted something that will calculate my pace and mileage and I wanted it to be cheap. The Nike+ Sportband was just the thing. I don't own an Ipod and didn't want to buy one just to use the chip for my new Nike shoes. This is equally a great alternative. Easy to setup and use. I use the tutorial just to see how it matched the instructions that come with the sportband, and they were exact. Both the tutorial and the instructions were easy to understand. Just plug in the USB device and download the software and your ready to run. Will recommend to everyone!"
