Inconsistent
, September 25, 2008
By MikeyBass

"I was using the Nike + sensor and reciever with my ipod nano for a year until I had to give my nano back to my girlfriend.. Instead of buying a new iPod nano, I decided to purchase the Nike+ Sportsband to save money. I order it online and recieved it in the mail. As soon as I opened the box I noticed that the screen was broken. So I brought it to a Nike Factory store to exchange it for another. I bring the new sportsband back home and open it up to use it.. I put it on and after a hour and half run, it said that I only ran 2 miles and it showed that the sensor wasn't getting picked by the reciever. I found out that the sensors battery was dead. It's totally sucks becuase I just started a new race and I really ran hard for it. I don't wanna go back to the Nike Factory store again becuase it's an hour away. So I put my old sensor from my nano in and linked it. now it works but I don't know how long it will last me. Otherwise I like the Idea I just wish I got one that worked, especially with how much it priced at..."

DO NOT BUY THIS!!

"I am a avid runner and i thought this would be nice to use instead of always listening to my Nano. It is not easy to see, it was not clear. Granted, maybe I got a "Lemon" but I am VERY unhappy with it and do not use it."

Could have done so little so much better.
, September 25, 2008
By Doctorpogo

"Generally a nice product, with great mechanical and industrial design. It fit well, and the snaps that hold the wristband closed and that latch the display to the wristband are positive and reliable. Major problems are the white-on-black LCD display, which is unreadable in both dim light (when I run, I have to pause under streetlights) and bright sunlight; the fact that the display is not axial with the wrist, which makes it even harder to read; and the poor USB connector, which doesn't reliably hit a well-worn computer port. Generally, this is a good product for what I intend to use it for -- a backup to my Nano that I can keep in my suitcase for the (many) occasions when my Nano has issues (usually related to battery life) on a trip. It will also be nice when I run with other people, and want to converse. It could be recommended only as a backup, or as an alternative to no Nike+ at all for those who are constrained by budget or technophobia."

Can't get it to calibrate...

"I have been running farther than it says, but can't get it to calibrate. Even my runs at a constant pace on the treadmill turn out too wavy to calibrate.
But otherwise it makes running more fun."

Not Reliable
, September 16, 2008
By Leeneebeanee
from Tampa, FL
"This would be a great product but it is not at all accurate in measuring distance. I have found mine to be 7 tenths of a mile short of being accurate which also throws off my pace. I calibrated it but it is still way off. I was very excited about using this and am very disappointed. The positives are: very user friendly, small and comfortable to wear."

disapointed
, September 16, 2008
"this is my second sportband. the first one failed after 1 week the display basically vanished.
though this second one seems to be better the display is still not that great. the major problem seems to be that water vapor leaks through and fog the screen. are you suppose to avoid running in humid condition, no sweat, no rain? is the product for inside use only?"

Nike+ Sportsband...
, September 15, 2008
By azorestiger7
from Irvine, CA
"I love it!!! I got this because my ipod had died on me. I've been hooked ever since. Makes where I can run anywhere and know how far I've gone, calories burned, pace, & it doubles as a sports watch when I'm not running. I only wish that you could see the face @ night. That's my only complaint."

"The idea of this product is good and it is great for the first few days when it actually works but after that sweat gets into it and the screen goes out and i have to send it back in for another one every few weeks. Hopefully Nike will fix this soon."

LCD Display is poor quality
, September 15, 2008
By EncinitasElDude
from Encinitas, CA
"After only a week of use (really only 3 or 4 runs), the LCD display started to crack and flake internally, making the first two numbers unreadable. This product doesn't seem to be made very well. If I had the money I'd go with Garmin instead."

New sportsband
, September 15, 2008
By JamesJP
from Layton, UT
"I bought this to help me get motivated to exercise. It really has helped. I also bought a sensor, and found out that the sportsband already comes with a sensor. So, I have an extra one. Anyway, it would be nicer if the black screen actually stayed black. Also, if there were a light on it so you could read it if you are running in the dark."

Nike Band
, September 15, 2008
"Found the Nike band to be lightweight and the reporting features are wonderful. See the little runner and all detailed information pleases me. Connecting and charging via USB is another feature that ROCKS!
Only little innuendo was cover came off on display so durability perhaps could be improved.
Thanks Nike."

Nike+ Sportband

"This product is great. I have been wanting to start back running, but I normally overdo it and end up with shin splints. The Nike coach set me up with a walk to run program that is easing me back into it. I see and feel the progress without overdoing it."

Like it
, September 8, 2008
By BBKim123
from Naples, FL
"I use it every day. It makes it easier to keep track of my miles, time and calorie burned. I am not sure that the mileage and calories are correct. I run a lot on the treadmill and my treadmill has 0.25 - 0.5 miles less then the band. Don't know if the treadmill is off or the band, but besides that Iove the fact that I don't have to write anything down anymore and all I have to do is turn it on before I run and just plug it in to the computer after my work out....done!"

Great product
, September 6, 2008
By osumom

"This has helped me stay focused during a run/walk. Increase my speed and keep track of distance and pace. Easy to wear. I do not own the nike shoe to place it under my foot but i wear it low and tight and positioned correctly on my laces of my left shoe - wearing the wrist band on my left wrist. I love running into the house and plugging it into my laptop to see how I did! My husband and I each received it as Birthday gifts from our children and we love it. Now we will buy each one of them one for their birthday! We are training for a half marathon."
