Nike + Sensorm and FitBand

, April 28, 2012
By Daespino66

"I credit this awesome device for kick-starting my fitness regime. It has motivated me to achieve numerous running goals, and it always leaves me hungry for more. I don't understand any of the negative reviews, as my Nike fitband and sensor have performed flawlessly. I absolutely love this gadget and have expanded my collection of fitness tools with a Nike FuelBand and additional sensors for extra pairs of running shoes. I love the website and look forward to uploading my daily activities. No other company come near this cutting-edge technology in the fitness industry and for such a reasonable price.
Thank you, Nike Team for appealing to the athlete AND techie in me!"

"I have only had mine for a week and i find it very annoying that the Nike + web site is always down. When i go to download my workout i am bothered by the number of times it has told me to check back in a few hours becaue they are making the site better. How about making a working site. If i knew it would be so bad i would not have bought the product. What's the point of having it if you can't use it for what it is ment for."

"I bought the product thing it would be easy to use. I have all the right equipment for it work but not help. It will not symc to my iPod touch. I walk many miles a week and run almost as much. I keep trying to get it work but nothing. Its very frustrtating to have a product that doesn't work out of the box. I am currently over seas so it's not like I can walk to the store to replace it. All it tell me is walk around to acitvate the sensor.
I was thinking of buying the wrist band but now I'm thining I'll have the same results."

Tracks distance incorrectly

"This was my favorite running invention when I first bought it. Then, about two months in, it started tracking incorrectly. Now, I run 4 miles and it tells me I ran 6. Nothing like having to keep running twenty minutes after the device tells you you're done. I've tried to recalibrate, but it remains inaccurate.
SO FRUSTRATING."

Sensor won't work

"I bought this with new running shoes 3 weeks ago and it won't work any longer. I really loved it, Nike- you need to tweak this. Why are some getting years out of it, and others, it fails fast? I still use the Nike Gps, not sure of the accuracy."

Never ran before!

"First of all, I love Nike+ Before I had this sensor I never ran, but I wanted to give it a go so I bought the sensor, synced it with my 3GS and got on a treadmill. My first run was 2mi and I loved it. It synced with the website without a problem and I was able to look at every aspect of the run. The second time I ran I was just going to run one mile, but then I decided to run another one, and then another one. It got addicting! I would highly recomend this to anybody who wants to get into running, or is trying to find motivation to lose some weight.
The few cons I have with this are
(1) can't use it with the Nike+ GPS app on the indoor setting, instead of the phones built in accelerometer which is not as accurate.
(2) Sometimes the pace data it sends to the website is all over the place, which isn't a huge problem seeing as it is still accurate on distance, but running on the treadmill it said my pace went from 12'56" to 5'45" while I never changed the speed setting on the treadmill."

"Don't get me wrong - I love this so far - bough the Nike + GPS watch and it comes with the sensor.. but my problem with the sensor is an easy one - you can't tell when it is off or when it is on - or any idea about the batter life. Just my little pet peeve onthe product. But works fantastic."

"I love this product! I have been using the same sensor for over a year now. I took a short break from running, but I'm back in the swing of things and run 4x a week for about 45min. The sensor hasn't died yet and still seems very accurate.
I love that it tells me my new PRs and breaks down my pace throughout the entire run (and calculates splits for you); it really motivates me to go farther and faster!
If you're using it with Nike+ for iPod or iPhone, don't forget to calibrate a run or walk so your distances are accurate."

Battery life non-existent!

, November 14, 2011
By Dena
"I've had the sensor for less than 2 months, using it only in my running shoe, not my everyday-go-to-work shoe. I calculated the time it was actually logging miles...13 hours! That's it. It died today, so I'm not too happy. I had to run to the NikeStore at the mall so I could log my miles tomorrow. Nike needs to come up with a way to either recharge the battery or make a better product. I guess I should take advantage of my "limited warranty" and get a replacement?
Other than the lack of battery life - I love the sensor! C'mon, Nike! Just do it!
