"Color ways are great (Blue Coral, Year of the Dragon, BHM's are my personal favorites). A galaxy color way would be nice. Cushioning gives a comfortable feel on and off the court. For a low-cut shoe, excellent ankle support. Lightweight design is perfect for guards (cutting, sprinting on/off ball). Great shoe, definitely recommend it."

"I've had lots of great basketball shoes. I've had two pairs of the Kobe 6's, the Melo M7's, etc. These by far top them all! I just love the Blue Snake colorway.
The lunarlon cushioning is amazing, my feet fit like a glove. The traction is wicked, best I've ever seen. It's so comfortable. Love this shoe."

"I've used the Kobe V's, the VI's and now have the pleasure to experience the VIII's. They fit like a glove. Very comfortable from the first day. Unlike the VII's, which felt very stiff and actually gave me a really nasty blister, these shoes have a soft feeling and they move very well with your feet on cuts. The new sole is great. I can't believe how light they are! Great shoe."

"This shoe is the best shoe for a guard out there. Although I am mainly a small forward, I run the point and shoot a lot, and this shoe has everything I need to keep up. The shoe fits like a glove, so I would order a half a size down, just to get the most out of that glove like feel. The material has a lot more fuse than at first glance, so it is more durable than it looks. BUT for a forward, this is possibly the worst shoe. Extremely poor ankle protection, and lack of protection and lockdown make it a bad choice for the forward or center position."

"The Kobe VIII is the best basketball shoe I have ever played in. They simply have no flaws. Their traction is second to none. The Lunarlon cushioning system is extremely comfortable as well as durable (for a foam based cushion). The Engineered Mesh locks your foot down while providing support and breathability. The shoe is light it simply feels like an extension of your foot. Imagine the Kobe VI with revamped traction and superior lockdown. I wore these during the winter season and liked them so much that I bought another pair for the spring. The only thing I would say against these is that, like all foams, the Lunarlon insole begins to bottom out after about 150 hours on the court. However, you can just by a replacement insole on NIKEID.
Bottom line is this: If regardless of your position, you will love this shoe. Just buy them. They will not disappoint."

"I have been a shooting guard all of my life playing basketball. I have learned that being a guard, you have to be quick but also explosive. The light weight of this shoe really makes it great for defense and the support helps make your crossover better off the dribble.
***The shoe is uncomfortable at first, but after about 10-30 minutes of practice, the became very comfortable. I MEAN VERY COMFORTABLE, i mean the weight of the shoe makes you feel like there is nothing except the socks on your feet.***

"I've played basketball for 8 years, and I can honestly say that this is the most comfortable basketball shoe I've ever played in. The traction is amazing, the breathability is great, the lockdown is outstanding, and the lunarlon cushioning is fantastic. I don't care much for how light a shoe is, but this shoe is crazy secure and well-built for how light it is.
