"I work out in these doing everything from plyometrics to heavy squats and calf raises and they make my feet feel wonerful and are easy on my joints with excellent cushioning.
I beleive that these are exclusively an indoor shoe due to soft fabric."

"It seems that Nike is discontinuing this amazing shoe! It should not as it successors are much stiffer, heavier and narrower than this exceptional shoe. I use it for tennis, basketball and workouts. It is the first line of NIke shoe that actually fits me. All other Nike shoes seem to be built on a narrower last; I do not have wide feet.
The Edge Trainers are supportive to engage in the multi-sports that I vigorously participate in. The wear pattern is exceptionally even as they do not wear out in certain places like the toe, outside, nor the heel. Even when they are worn out, the shoe is still providing support.
Compared to other brands of similar shoes (tennis and trainers) the Edge Trainers cannot be beat! There is no comparison as to confort, support and wear.
I just bought my sixth pair! Am looking for close out sales to maintain my stock of this shoe before they become extinct. Nike should continue to produce this winner!"

"I have wide feet, and these shoes fit me pretty well, although they are wide around the heel, too (which is kind of strange). The gel soles can easily be removed and replaced with orthodics , and, although it gets a little cramped with the orthodics (I use superfeet), it's nothing big.
I run with these. Of course, running shoes would be ideal, but these work too.
But I don't play tennis in them because, frankly, they don't work."

"I've had these shoes a couple of months and use them for walking and jogging. I also wear them when I'm just hanging around. They are very comfortable even when I'm on my feet all day. I weigh about 260 lbs and they have held up well. Seems like a solid shoe. The felt like material around the mesh on top of the shoe get dirty quickly but I guess that's to be expected."

"I loved the previous models of the Air Edge trainer. This new design has a more agresssive bottom than the last model which I don't love, because I liked the fact that I could also wear the shoe on the tennis court. I typically train indoors and play tennis on clay, so these shoes do not work as well for that. Also the heel on the left shoe of this pair squeaks."

"For the first month or so everything was perfect. Traction, durability, cushioning, and overall performance. However, a squeeking problem came. I think this is due to the deterioration of the cushioning and support material by the midsole. If you can get past the squeeky problem then this shoe will last you for a while.
This really is a training shoe, but I think it can also be a running shoe as well. The lateral stability on these are excellent. This would be ideal for those with wide feet. I'd recommend trying to order .5 size smaller, but if not it still fits ok. I've had this for 4 months and it still performs like new. Other than that squeek problem, this is a must have.
This is also great for a lot of walking. These are incredibly light and go along with your walking style. Excellent shoe overall."

"This is an EXTREMELY comfortable shoe. I could walk in these all day. In fact I primarily wear these just out and about for everyday stuff. In terms of working out I am biased toward flat sole/low profile i.e. Free trainer 7.0, and I find the cushioning too soft. I don't like to feel my feet move around in my shoes when squatting/deadlifting/etc. But if you just want an athletic looking shoe to rock with some jeans these are a definite shoe to look into. Lastly, they do SQUEAK...a lot...every step...squeak. But they feel good while doing it!"

"I love this thing. I wear this working out, while i'm out shopping, when i'm at work, i'd wear it anywhere but to church. the sole has full length air cushining which is great. This shoe was a perfect fit, very roomy and comfortable. Wear these with a pair of nike socks and the amount of comfort rises exponentially."

"A really comfortable, close-fitting, shoe that feels like it's a part of your foot. Not the most durable, the soles started to peel off the ball of my foot after about a month. I do a lot of lateral training that demands a lot from a shoe, this didnt quite hold up. Great for lifting or jumping."

"I am a personal trainer and I wear the shoe all day as part of a uniform. I just got them yesterday and it's by far the best shoe I have found from Nike. Light,breathable,cushy,snug like a sock,great locking lace system,low heel which really helps with feeling in touch with the ground,in widths and wide enough for my feet! I am getting 2 more pairs right away so I can have them for my own workouts and for walking. I normally wear orthotics and have found I do not need to with this shoe!!! A true 5 stars from me."

"I've been working out--weights, running, racket sports, you name it--for 40 years, and I've never worn a better all around sports shoe at any price. Fantastic fit and support, feather light. I'll buy another pair to swap out with this one because I don't want to wear anything else.
Also, maybe the only "true fit" athletic shoe I've tried on in decades."

"Nike, I beg you to keep uppgrading and repeating this model. I am a group fitness instructor. I do a large variety of workouts and am in need of a shoe that is comfortable and responsive. I picked up a pair of the trainer 08 on accident and have no regrets!
