Nike Air Impel Leather (Wide) Men's Walking Shoe
Walk it off in this comfortable, lightweight shoe. Combination leather and synthetic overlays offer support. Nike Rolling Rail makes for a stable ride through the heel-to-toe transition. Full-length Phylon midsole combined with an encapsulated Air Sole unit in heel provide cushioning and support. Rubber forefoot outsole provides traction and exposed Phylon flex grooves lend flexibility.

Shoe cuts into ankle

"I purchased these at the Nike Philadelphia Factory Outlet store in Pottstown, PA. They felt good when I walked around the store. However, when I got home and wore them for a 3 mile walk, the outside edge of the sneakers rubbed my ankles to the point that it became extremely painful to continue to walk in these sneakers. I added a heel insert to raise the foot bed but the sneakers outside edge still rubbed against the ankles. It's been 2 weeks since I last wore them and my ankle bones still hurt. Since my foot is an average normal width size 10, I believe that this sneaker has a poorly designed side cut and would not recommend them to anyone."

I have a wide 4E foot and have been ordering from this site for several years. When you see WIDE it refers to a 2E shoe. There are some shoes available in 4E, like my Pegasus shoes, you just need to check the sizes available. Or call and speak with a CSR."

"Unlike other Nikes I bought at the same time, this pair makes my arches hurt. I say that meaning the bottoms of my feet, as if there is no support and the weight of my body is cracking the life out of my feet. I had thought that pain was due to a previous shoe from another maker, but this pair hurts in much the same way. Guess I need a different kind of support, but more or less I can't say for sure. What I can say is OUCH."

"This is my second pair of these shoes. They are very comfortable and look great the only problem I have had is the bottom rubber layer starts to peel away after a long while. Over all they are very good shoes. They do run slightly small or narrow but, feel great."

"Supposed to be size 12 and wide (4E) but sure felt much shorter and much narrower than any other size 12 wide (4E) Nike walking shoe I have purchased in the past. Like most other Nike walking and cross training shoes there are too many deep crevices in the soles that collect mud and small stones that dirty and scratch my ceramic tile and hardwood floors. On the positive side it is a reasonably good looking shoe without too much gaudy contrasting color bands, stripes, patches, etc. I returned them."
